I joined Matthews Enslin Inc in 2023 as a candidate attorney after completing my BA Law and LLB degrees at Stellenbosch University. Prior to joining Matthews Enslin, I performed roughly 7 months of my practical vocational training (“articles”) at a purely family law firm situated in the CBD. However, looking for experience in a broader field of law, I joined MEI in August 2023. I completed my articles at MEI during January 2025 and have been retained as an Associate at the firm. I am however awaiting formal admission as an Attorney of the High Court, which is expected to take place during August 2025. My areas of law are diverse and includes both litigious and commercial work. I regularly assist clients with: (1) Family law, including divorces, parenting plans, domestic violence interdicts, and maintenance disputes; (2) Commercial and corporate matters, such as company registrations, shareholder agreements, company restructuring, beneficial ownership filings, and foreign loan approvals; (3) Leases and property law, including the drafting and review of residential and commercial lease agreements, notarial long-term leases, and usufruct arrangements; (4) Drafting of wills; (5) Drafting and setting up trusts; and (6) General legal support for small businesses and startups, where I assist with contract drafting, structuring advice, and practical legal guidance to ensure operational compliance.
